Reaching Milan by plane is undoubtedly the most convenient solution, especially for those arriving from afar.

Milan is served by three main airports.

Milano Linate

Linate is a city airport connected to the city centre by a brand new metro line, where many European airlines and even some low-cost flights land.

Linate is connected to the centre of Milan by the M6 metro, which currently stops at San Babila after passing through the eastern part of the city: some new stops have recently been opened.

Milano Malpensa

The Milan Malpensa Airport is used by intercontinental or long-haul flights, and therefore also by major airlines, the airport of choice for EasyJet (at Terminal 2) and with some flights also by Ryanair, Volotea etc.

From Malpensa t you can reach the centre of Milan by bus or by train.

At Milan Malpensa, you also have access to ShareNow car sharing, a service available in other European cities: if you are already a ShareNow user in Vienna, Amsterdam, Cologne, Hamburg, Berlin, Paris, Munich or Madrid, you can also use your app in Milan to rent cars, move around the city and get to the airport.

Milan Bergamo

The Milan Bergamo airport is actually located in Orio al Serio, an airport in the city of Bergamo which, due to its proximity to Milan, has become a de facto choice for many airlines, especially Ryanair.

It actually takes more than an hour to reach the Milan City Centre from Bergamo’s Airport and the traffic between the two cities can become pretty intense. Anyway, you can take a bus from Orio al Serio to Milan or book a private transfer.
