Corso Como is a pedestrian and commercial street, located between Piazza XXV Aprile and the Porta Garibaldi station. It is about 280 meter long. Corso Como rises where once there was the first part of the Comasina road that was then interrupted for the construction of the railway facilities.
The railway at the time divided course Como from the Isola district, which was connected by a pedestrian walkway, these two parts of the city, although close, developed in a totally independent way.
Between 1860 and 1880 in Corso Como began to rise the first buildings, mostly modest workers’ houses, industrial and handicraft activities, after the war the Municipality project was to demolish everything and create palaces for offices and luxury homes.
The project was only partially realized with the construction of the Porta Garibaldi station, the Municipality skyscraper and some buildings on Via Melchiorre Gioia. For many years Corso Como remained abandoned to itself and to the degradation, then in the Nineties it underwent a transformation becoming the center of the “Milan to drink”.

Since the 2000s Corso Como has been further transformed with the construction of important buildings such as the Porta Nuova Project, the course has become a pedestrian street where luxury shops of design and clothing stand out, bars, restaurants and all kinds of restaurants. Pitbull Cafè and Pixel Cafè, above all for aperitifs.
